Instagram musicians we’d love to see live in Rexburg

Rexburg is one of the best places in Idaho to be a young, aspiring musician. But sometimes it can be difficult to know how to get involved in the local scene. From open mic events to concerts at local venues, it can be confusing where to start.

Thankfully, someone in the world created Instagram — the perfect platform for aspiring musicians to share their talents. We’ve seen dozens of amazing videos of covers, original songs, duets, acapella versions, karaoke videos and literally everything else. It’s tragic to think that these performers (we call them Instagram musicians) might not ever get the exposure they deserve. So we’ve decided to start featuring these amazing Instagram musicians.

Here are 10 local singers we’ve only ever seen on Instagram, but that we love listening to. Hopefully, we’ll get to see a few of these Instagram musicians at the next open mic or The Basement concert:

Madeline Johnson

@madeleineejohnson

@jackjohnson has always had a way with words. You can witness my reaction to me realizing the presences of my heaven sent Angels, as I sing a song I’ve often thought describes their love perfectly. I feel their love, kisses, and hugs daily. Much love for God’s love, His divine plan of Happiness, and my sweet Angels.”

Is it a coincidence that all of our pics for this week are women? Maybe. But we’re all about empowering women here at The Ennui Project, so we don’t regret a thing.

If you or someone you know would like to be featured as one of our weekly “Instagram musicians we’d love to see live in Rexburg,” tag us on Instagram or comment in the box below the article. And don’t forget to follow The Ennui Project for future updates in Rexburg’s music and art scene.
